Joy: my goosebump moment is the song “Tadow” by Masego with FKJ. Watching the videoclip was like watching a masterpiece. Both of them started the video playing different instruments. Masego can play saxophone, drums and piano. He can come up with an entire song playing everything all by himself and I was amazed because he is this young guy, not even thirty!

Roua: my goosebump moment is every time I listen to the song “This Mountain” by Fauzia. This song encourages me to do my best and it lifts me up at every difficult moment. The first time I listened to it was the day I took an exam that would determine my future and help me realize my dream of becoming a businesswoman. I passed it and I feel like that song definitely gave me a boost.

Ashleigh: my goosebump moment was the day I went to go see Sam Smith Live in Concert for the very first time in 2019. I was so excited I just could not contain myself. There were little kids, couples, old people. Everyone had that same energy because we were all there to see Sam Smith. When he started humming the melody to “Dancing with a Stranger”, the crowd went wild, and it was just amazing.

Marvellous: my goosebump moment is every time I play “Want it all” by Burna Boy ft. Polo G. The lyrics speak truth to me, and it speaks truth to every African youth that believes. The words “Working night and day, you know my people no day sleep” are strong words, enough to motivate anyone to strive for whatever they are doing and never give up!

Japhet: my goosebump moment goes back to 2018 when I watched the concert of Richard Bona titled “Vocal solo”. I am musician and I was really impressed with such a performance. The way he had fun with his voice with such precision.

Zeeshan: my goosebump moment is from “Coco” when Miguel sang “Remember me” to his grandmother Coco. Miguel’s great grandfather was a great singer, but music was banned in his family because of a big misunderstanding. Miguel went into the parallel world where he meets his great grandfather and tells him everything. When he came back to his world, he sang the song “Remember me” to his grandmother Coco.

Tara: my goosebump moment is the song “Furr” by Blitzen Trapper. It is a really beautiful song and it tells the story of someone’s life. One day I was sitting on the beach and the song played. It tells such a detailed story and so positive and upbeat. It filled my whole body with goosebumps. It was a pretty incredible experience and now every time I listen to the song, it puts a smile on my face.

Elvis: my goosebump moment is when I experienced the Bon Iver concert in Malmö, 2019. I wasn’t really a fan of him back then, but that night changed my mind. The atmosphere was amazing. You just had to be there. When he started singing with the autotune on and he made a whole song with just using his voice, it was the greatest feeling I ever had in my life, I had goosebumps all over my body.

Fiorella: my goosebump moment is the song “Caminar de tu mano” by Río Roma. It really represents the love story that my grandparents had, it is something I have always loved. Especially the part that says “A wise man once told me, when you like someone, look at their hands because as time goes by you will kiss less and hold hands more.” It is something that reminds me of them.

Stella: I get goosebumps when I listen to Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi’s song “Neria”. Mtukudzi was Zimbabwe’s greatest musician. This song also featured in a movie called “Neria”, the best ever produced movie in Zimbabwe. It is about a woman who loses her husband in a car accident. The husband’s brother takes the inheritance and leaves this widow and her kids with nothing. It is very emotional.

Nisa: my goosebump moment is the song “Eyes, Nose, Lips” from Taeyang. It was my first Korean song and the first time I heard it, I got chills because of the melody, because of the singing and because of Taeyang’s amazing voice. It’s a song you can relate to. Even if I didn’t understand the language, music is universal.

Cristhel: my goosebump moment was when I was driving my car and when I heard the song “Driver’s License” by Olivia Rodrigo. This song talks about what we all have felt once in a life: a heartbreak. I felt everything that she was saying, the lyrics were so indescribable.

Aru: my goosebump moment is the song “Live Before I die” by Mike Posner. It is about Mike’s self-discovery journey and him walking across America. He did this because he wanted to experience life to the fullest. We can all relate to this song because we all feel lost or hopeless sometimes. This song is a great reminder that we should always strive for the best and live our best lives.

Elizabeth: my goosebump moment was when I heard Adele sing her song “Love in the Dark” for the first time. The song talks about how it’s beautiful to let go and how it’s not easy to say goodbye, but you have to have courage and get away from any toxic relationship in your life. It’s beautiful.

Anyi: my goosebump moment is this song that is sung by a little boy in the Colombian The Voice Kids. This boy’s name is Juanse Laverde and he sings this song named “Como mirarte”, which means “How can I see you”. He has a really sweet voice, it’s so angelical. I love the lyricsand rhythm of the song, but I mostly like how he sings it.

Robertson: my goosebump moment is a song entitled “L’Envie D’Aimer” by Daniel Lévi. I’m really passionate about this song. It brings such comfort to me in difficult times with love and every time I hear this song, I have joy in my heart.

Lana: my goosebump moment is a song called “Molitva” by the Serbian singer Marija Serifovic. It gives me goosebumps because the spot for that song was published a year ago during the quarantine and it shows the empty streets of Belgrade, and the band singing, helping other people, bringing them food, in masks.

Naip: my goosebump moment was in 2018 when I went to a concert of Nokaut with a bunch of friends. I felt very good. The music and lyrics were great. I didn’t know the artist until then, but it felt very emotional.
