Curaçao-Elias-igor mygoosebumpmoment

Elias: my goosebump moment is the album “IGOR” from Tyler, The Creator. It means a lot to me, because for a long time I wanted to listen Tyler, The Creator’s music. The songs were so amazing. It’s a new sound, something I was looking for, a new experience. The song that stuck with me the most is “GONE, GONE/THANK YOU”. The rhythm, the drums, the bass, everything is amazing. I love it!

Otmane: my goosebump moment is Eminem’s out-of-nowhere performance of his iconic song “Lose Yourself” at the 2020 Oscars. Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” won the Oscar for Best Original Song back in 2003. Eminem, one of the greatest rappers of all time performing “Lose Yourself”, one of the greatest hits of all time at the Oscars, which is basically meant for actors only. I get the chills every time I see it.

Leticia: my goosebump moment was when I heard Jordan Smith sing for the very first time on “The Voice”. He sang “Chandelier” by Sia and the first time I heard him sing, I thought he was a woman. The fact that he had struggled with body image and had been bullied because of his size and was still able to sing his lungs out shows that anyone could do anything.

Julio: my goosebump moment was seeing the bands I grew up listening to at Knotfest. Listening to the songs I used to jam to for hours and hours in my headphones makes things different. And in an event like the Knotfest, it’s just something people need to live.

Claudia: my goosebump moment was when I went to see my favorite artist perform at a music festival. This experience was very exciting because it was my first music festival ever. It was very cool to see him perform my favorite songs and also to sing along with him and also to see the crowd go wild with him and it was overall a very magical experience.

Moses: my goosebump moment is a song by Bette Midler, ‘From a Distance’. I was doing a rendition of that song with a team of three people, when I was in high school, and it really made me feel good as I was there on the stage and the whole auditorium was raving with praises.

Jonathan: My goosebump moment was when I realized the power of music. This started a few years ago when I started traveling to many countries and I did not even speak their language. I wanted to learn more about their culture and the way that they see the world. I found out that if you observe how they handle music, you can learn a lot about them as a people.

Marian: my goosebump moment was my first classical music concert. I went with my mother. It was in a church near my house. I had never gone to a classical music concert before, and it was an amazing experience.

Gabriela: my goosebump moment was when I listened for the first time to this BTS song called “Yet to Come.” Because this song says things like my best is yet to come. Even when the past was great, my best is yet to come, and after living through a year of pandemic, I think these lyrics gave me hope for my future as a young woman living at this time.

Tobias: I would like to share with you my favorite goosebump moment. If you watch the “Justice League” movie, just in the part that Flash tries to save the girl, a very beautiful song comes up, from the group “The Mortal Coils”, “The Song for the Siren”.

Elisha: my goosebump moment is when I played the piano for the first time at a concert. It was a live concert here in our city. I was very shy to perform in front of so many people. But I got some encouragement to perform the song and I remember we performed that song very well and people praised us that the song was very good.

Alexa: my goosebump moment was a concert I went to in 2014 in Lyon. It was a Thirty Seconds to Mars concert and it was the first big concert I had ever attended. It was like the highlight of my life. Since I was a little kid, I always loved their music.

Nam: my goosebump moment was when my own business wasn’t doing well due to the pandemic situation. I felt very bad at that time. I didn’t want to do anything at that time. I was just listening to the music, to “Trying My Best” by Anson Seabra. It encouraged me that it was enough that I was doing my best.

Abdulwahid: my goosebump moment is about a Tanzania artist called Diamond Platnumz. It is about his life story when he says one day his mother sold a golden ring to support his music career. This makes me so excited and believe that everything is possible if you put effort into it and believe in what you are doing.

Pavel: my goosebump moment happened when I first listened to the song called “Xo Tour Life” by Lil Uzi Vert in 2017. The song started so slow so calm but it sounded so nice so I started vibing to it and then the riff came on, the main part of the song I felt massive goosebumps, felt massive hype and started humping really hard to it ever since then I listen to the artist on the daily and I know all of his songs.

Marielle: my goosebump moment was when I first listened to Bullet For My Valentine’s intro song from their album called “The Poison”. It’s the type of song that when the guitar solo first kicks in, you feel like having super powers.

Diego: my goosebump moment was a concert from Jack White, the vocalist of what was The White Stripes in the past. You know in a moment where it is so shocking that you just do not know how to react, you just stand still in place, just watching, just living the moment. That’s what a Jack White concert is.

Paolo: my goosebump moment is whenever I listen to Imagine from John Lennon. It takes me back to my childhood and reminds me of how a beautiful message like that could change your life perspective in so many positive ways, just like a virtuous circle that we can start with any of our words or actions and encouraging someone else to do it.
